New patients are scheduled for an initial interview with the doctor to discuss your dental and medical history and your present dental problems and concerns. One of our first concerns is whether your mouth has active disease (such as periodontal or gum disease). A thorough oral examination, including all necessary radiographs such as a cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scan, screening for oral cancer, will be completed at this visit. We immediately address any dental emergencies; the doctor will explain what she finds and present treatment options suitable for your needs. Please plan to spend about an hour with us on your initial appointment.
